Success on game day starts with the work done behind the scenes. This year, TeachTown is enhancing the teaching and learning experience across our entire solution suite to ensure every student and teacher has a winning season.
For the 2026-2027 school year, we are bringing together our different solutions into one digital ‘home base’ and expanding our instructional and assessment offerings to ensure your team has everything it needs to hit the ground running.
Check out the upcoming platform and curriculum enhancements below. These updates will release later this summer in preparation for back-to-school.
A strong season is built on a reliable foundation. We are centralizing the TeachTown experience to make daily operations easier for teachers and administrators. Building upon last year’s glow up for enCORE, this year you’ll notice continued modernization and a simpler, smarter workflow across the entire platform.
The whole TeachTown ecosystem will be connected into one digital ‘home base.’ With this update, you will have a consistent left-hand navigation bar (shown below) and the ability to switch between curricula with ease. Meaning, you won’t need to log out of enCORE to deliver a Social Skills lesson. Just toggle to the desired curriculum and jump right into instruction! You’ll also notice your key intervention programs, like Transition to Adulthood, will share a similar look and feel to enCORE. By integrating all curricula, we are continuing to prioritize our whole child approach, ensuring that academic, social, language/communication, and functional skills work together to support student growth.
The new navigation experience delivers a single point of entry for mobile users by unifying our individual iPad apps into one powerful web experience. Transitioning to the new Progressive Web App (PWA) experience is easy! Just a couple of clicks and you can pin the TeachTown app to your dashboard. This experience will work the same regardless of the device you are using or whether you’re in the browser or the PWA.
Additionally, we’ve released an integrated login option that allows teachers to log in directly from Clever – this eliminates the need for multiple app redirects and provides a more reliable, direct Single-Sign On (SSO) authentication.
The student settings menu has also been redesigned with a simpler layout. These updates include improved lesson progress screens that provide quick access to session data, including SOAP Notes and recordings.
Teachers currently have the ability to track student progress in enCORE and note which segments have been delivered in each unit. To prepare for a fresh start for the new school year, facilitators will soon have the ability to archive and reset group curriculum progress tracking.
For Back to School 2026, our Launch for PreK users will have several new opportunities to analyze student data to support progress monitoring and instructional decisions across new reports, including new observational assessment reports, new skills progress reports, and an enhanced kindergarten readiness report. Stay tuned for more details!
We are adding more depth to our instructional materials and assessment offering to ensure every learner has the resources they need to succeed.
For the upcoming school year, enCORE Elementary will expand its decodables offering. The enCORE decodable sequence is designed to mirror the learner’s journey. Starting with 2 decodable texts per unit that cover foundational practice in Units 4-8, the decodables library expands to 6 readers per unit for Units 9–36, providing the high-frequency repetition and scaffolded complexity essential to the Science of Reading. By aligning text strictly to skills that have already been taught, we ensure every student moves from decoding to discovery with confidence.
To better support Spanish-speaking students, all adapted library books in enCORE Middle School will be available in Spanish. The middle school adapted library includes 27 chapter books, differentiated at three levels each, for a total of 81 individual texts! These come in multiple formats, including hard copies, PDFs, and read-aloud videos, along with corresponding comprehension worksheets and vocabulary cards.
Note: Spanish resources and content is available in the enCORE K–12 Advance package.
For Back to School, enCORE Elementary educators will be able to choose domain-specific formats of unit assessments to dive deeper into a student’s performance across ELA, Math, Science, or Social Studies.
Domain-specific unit assessments allow teachers to analyze student performance in ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies as it relates to a particular unit of instruction and develop a more detailed picture of their strengths and areas of need within each domain. The all-domain format is still available and can be used when teachers are looking for an efficient way to collect data on how students are progressing across all domains.
We are excited to introduce the enCORE Media Library! Upon release, the Media Library in enCORE Elementary will provide enhanced functional communication and visual support with the release of thousands of visual support images. Rolling out in phases, with Grades K-2 in June and Grades 3-5 in July, the Media Library will allow teachers to search for unit-specific images to use in their lessons as well as images that support classroom and community environments that are not tied to a specific unit.
Flexibility is key – all images in the Media Library can be downloaded, resized to fit classroom or individual supports (hi tech or low tech), and printed or added to devices.
Note: The enCORE Media Library will be available in the enCORE K–12 Advance package.
New assessment tools have joined the TeachTown roster, including the recently released Launch to K Kindergarten Readiness Assessment, the enCORE Leveling Assessment, and additional resources for TeachTown Benchmark Assessments.
As part of our commitment to ensuring you have the tools you need to support the whole child the whole way, we have introduced the Launch to K Assessment, included within Launch for PreK, our comprehensive, inclusive early childhood curriculum designed to ensure all children ages 3-5 access high-quality instruction through built-in differentiation.
Through benchmark and observational assessment components, the Launch to K Assessment provides a complete picture of each learner’s strengths and areas for growth by evaluating readiness across 7 developmental domains:

We know that accurately meeting a student’s exact needs quickly and effectively is essential to prioritizing valuable instructional time and fostering student confidence. To support this effort, we have introduced the new enCORE Leveling Assessment, available now in the enCORE K–12 Advance package.
The enCORE Leveling Assessment provides a data-driven recommendation for a student’s appropriate enCORE instructional level (Level 1, 2, or 3) by evaluating receptive language and response complexity, while giving teachers an efficient way to accurately place students. Plus, our enCORE Leveling Assessment includes assistive scanning technology for switch devices. The accessibility technology included within the leveling assessment is available to any single-switch device on any operating system.
We’ve released new resources to support TeachTown Benchmark Assessments in enCORE to help you bridge the gap between testing, goal-setting, and daily instruction. Available now for each grade band of enCORE, these comprehensive PDF guides are designed to return valuable time to your day by supporting IEP alignment, targeted lesson planning, and data collection:
The focus of these guides for enCORE Middle School and High School is foundational skills to support diverse learner needs – they cover skills in ELA, Math, and Cognitive Skills.
