Curious how administrators are utilizing this report?
Sample Scenario #1: Demonstrating ROI to District Leadership
A special education director is preparing for a budget review meeting with the superintendent and school board. Their district has been using enCORE for three years, but the director needs to present hard data to justify the continued investment.
Using the Unit Assessment Summary Report, the director can:
- Show a district-wide view of academic growth, highlighting the average pretest to posttest improvement across all students using enCORE.
- Filter the report by grade band and domain to show specific areas of significant student growth, such as a 30% average improvement in early literacy skills across Units 1 – 12 (equivalent to grades K – 2) in ELA only.
- Present the total number of unit assessments submitted by teachers, demonstrating high program engagement and fidelity of implementation across the district.
By presenting this clear, data-backed story of student achievement, the director can confidently demonstrate a positive return on the district’s investment, securing continued funding and support for the program.
Sample Scenario #2: Supporting a Teacher Incentive Allotment Model
A district has a new state-level teacher incentive program that rewards teachers based on student growth and coverage of state-mandated curriculum. The Special Education Coordinator needs a reliable way to verify each teacher’s data for the program.
With the Unit Assessment Summary Report, the coordinator can:
- Filter by individual teacher to see the average student growth for their students on all completed unit assessments.
- Confirm that teachers are administering the required number of unit assessments by reviewing the “total number of unit assessments submitted” metric for each teacher.
- Access the underlying data to cross-reference with other compliance documentation, ensuring all criteria for the incentive program are met.
This use of the report provides the concrete metrics needed to confirm teacher eligibility for incentives, streamlining the process and supporting teacher retention by rewarding their hard work and success.
The Unit Assessment Summary Report is now available. Reminder – this new tool is designed to give administrators a clear, high-level view of program effectiveness and student outcomes. We understand the value of this type of data for teachers. A future report will focus on individual classroom performance and provide actionable insights for instructional planning. More information on that release will be shared closer to its availability.
