enCORE Elementary Unit Assessments are now offered both in their regular format of all domains in the same assessment AND in a new format where we focus on only one domain. These domain-specific unit assessments are available for ELA in the K-2 units of enCORE Elementary (i.e., Units 1-18). The ELA-specific unit assessments for Units 19-36 will follow in the coming weeks. They are most immediately being used to support a fall research project in one of our partner districts, and we wanted to make them available broadly to all districts.
This new domain-specific format allows teachers to dive deeper into each student’s ELA skills and knowledge as it relates to a specific unit of instruction and helps develop a more detailed picture of their strengths and areas of need within the ELA domain. However, the all-domain format is still available and can be used when teachers are looking for an efficient way to collect data on how students are progressing across all domains, ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies.
