Professional Development
TeachTown Professional Development for Teachers, Paraprofessionals, Specialists, and Administrators
TeachTown products are designed to be easy to understand and simple to implement. As part of our commitment to improving student performance and teacher satisfaction, we offer various types of professional development — on-site training, webinars, online courses, and more – that support the products and improve outcomes even further. In addition, TeachTown’s team of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) can work with your school or district to customize a professional development plan that fits your schedule and your budget.
TeachTown’s team of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA’s) have created a 40-hour online training program that is based on the RBT Task List and is designed to meet the training requirement for the RBT credential. In this program, participants will systematically advance through 12 course modules consisting of 119 interactive lessons. Within each lecture are interactive quizzes and activities, supplemental classroom videos, and additional resources that relate to the lecture topic.

Virtual Supervision
As one of its many practice-based services, TeachTown offers virtual supervision for BCBA candidates who are currently completing their internships, practicum, and field work experiences that meet the Behavior Analyst Certification Board’s Experience Standards. The service is aligned to the Behavior Analysis Certification Board’s standards for supervision and aims to combine theoretical learning with the practical application of skills necessary to provide future clients with effective and ethical behavior analysis services.

Designed to meet the needs of busy professionals and students alike, this service allows the candidates to receive high-quality, flexibly-scheduled supervision from a BCBA via web-based platforms, such as Skype, FaceTime, and other video and webinar communication. Supervision sessions will vary from individual or group meetings to discuss specific ABA strategies and current research to individualized viewing and analysis of the candidate’s field work. In these sessions, supervising BCBAs will view live and pre-recorded sessions in which the candidate provides services to clients, students, or other ABA-recipients and provide specific, constructive feedback to guide the candidate’s future work.

Following each session, regardless of its format, the candidate will leave with new, research-based tools and/or strategies to apply to their practice, as well as constructive feedback on how to strength their current ABA service provision. Candidates will also be encouraged to troubleshoot behavior issues and other complications related to providing successful ABA services to their specific clients and students.
